The Lord’s Special Blend

Through these difficult times
with marriages going bad
I look back on our lives together
and feel so very glad.

For our love darling is holding
all that we hold true
All that we believe in
together me and you.

Our love is standing the test of time
the test between our hearts
But I think we always knew my love
our foundation was right from the start.

For we poured the right mixture of concrete
from the Lord’s special blend
And the walls of our lives, brick by brick
were also built by Him.

For we knew alone, we would fail
if we did not put Him first
And daily ask His guidance
in all our earthly work.

For He is the one, who always knows
which path to take in strife
Giving our marriage the strength it needs
to stand the test of life.
