One Day I Believed

I was once lost and searching
I was never far away
but never close enough to see
God’s plan for me that day.

Each time I tried to seek him
distractions kept me apart
I could never seem to find the time
to allow him in my heart.

But one day the world around me
came crashing to the ground
So I ask the Lord with saving grace
to turn my life around.

He heard my heartfelt prayer
as I cried out to him
I need you Lord, take my life
lift me up from sin.

Show me the path I need
to live my life for you
Let your words magnify
in everything I do.

And so each day, from that point on
new blessings I have received
His eternal grace, saved my soul
be cause one day I believed.
